Murray Ralston Lawyers Fair & Affordable Legal Fees

Fair and Affordable Legal Fees

In many personal injury accident actions, such as motor vehicle collisions and slip & falls, MRPC is committed to ensuring you get the best possible court award or settlement. In these personal injury actions, it will not cost you anything for representation by MRPC until your case is settled or a court verdict is reached. When your case concludes, (whether by settlement or court verdict) MRPC charges a contingency fee, which is a percentage of the amount recovered.

The amount of the contingency fee charged by MRPC depends on the type of case. In most personal injury actions that settle (including car accidents, slip and falls, and animal attacks) the maximum contingency fee charged by MRPC is 30% of the amount recovered. In any medical negligence case and also in personal injury cases that proceed to trial, the maximum contingency fee charged by MRPC is 35% of the amount recovered.

For full information on contingency fees, refer to the Law Society of Ontario’s online guide, CONTINGENCY FEES, at Contingency Fees - Lawyer | Law Society of Ontario (lso.ca).
