Christine Murray attended law school at the University of Western Ontario. She opened her own real estate law firm in Midland before moving to Barrie in 1992. Christine now focuses on plaintiff personal injury claims and mental health law.
Christine is legal counsel for persons injured in a broad range of circumstances including injury arising from medical procedures or failure to diagnose, birth trauma, abuse/neglect at seniors facilities, and prescription errors. She also represents victims seriously injured in motor vehicle collisions and animal attacks.
Christine regularly appears before the Consent and Capacity Board as counsel to patients with psychiatric issues including involuntary committal, consent to treatment, financial capacity, and community treatment orders.
Christine is member of the Board of Directors of the Story Book Farm Primate Sanctuary, which provides safe permanent refuge for primates that have endured a variety of hardships including medical and neurological research. She is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Simcoe County. Also, she is an avid supporter of the arts and has served on the Board of Directors of both the South Simcoe Theatre and the Strolling Youth Players. Christine continues to volunteer her time to theatres throughout the region. Christine is an award-winning author and is currently completing the second novel in her young reader fiction series. She also wrote a stage play, War of the Unknown Warriors, which raises money for Veterans’ charities.
